Course Description

Using business case scenarios, the objective of this course is to provide participants with an introduction to the Calypso Accounting Framework including Accounts, Accounting Events, Accounting Rules, and other configurations required to generate accounting entries.

The chosen business cases allow participants to gain hands-on experience on the Calypso processes necessary to generate the appropriate accounting entries during various trade life-cycle events.

Throughout the course, participants will review account postings for a sample set of trades, generate accounting entries for valuation, revaluation, translation, fees that were relevant and various lifecycle events. In addition, we discuss the setting up of CREs and generate accounting entry events with the aim to demonstrate accounting for external General Ledgers.
