Course Description

Nasdaq’s Enterprise Architecture Platform (EAP) – ‘BlueDolphin’ powered by ValueBlue - has been implemented to provide a clearer view of the end-to-end processes required for a client to license and implement developed functionalities.

Connecting what we sell to what we build & thereafter efficiently determining the pieces needed to deliver the solution allows us to accelerate, sell & deliver efficiently.

As such, after the Initiation phase has passed (so initial scoping has taken place for the prospect), one of the use cases for the Enterprise Architecture Platform is to be able to use it for Blueprint deep dives.

This stage of the Delivery Framework – delivered by running scope confirmation workshops (which can take anywhere from one month to 3 or more months until sign off), defines in detail the solution to be implemented.

End users during this stage of the Delivery Framework, conduct and deliver (but not limited to) the below activities:

  • Define project scope / Integration approach / Identify and classify gaps.
  • Define project implementation and governance.
  • Adjust/Update project plan.
  • Create Migration strategy.

This means, to enable end users to perform their activities (especially those related to defining project scope, integration approach and identifying and classifying gaps) that the platform should contain both Blueprint relevant data and fields that facilitate their ability to capture the data.

This course and several of the courses following this one (through to course ‘Extract Scoped Feature for Workshop Log’), identify to users the Blueprint relevant data sets available in the platform which can be leveraged at the ‘Blueprint’ stage of the Delivery Framework.

This specific course focuses on information regarding ‘Capability Descriptions’. When discussing with a prospect and when analyzing their requirements, it is imperative that ‘Capability Descriptions’ exist. This allows both Prospect and Customer Delivery staff involved in the project to be aligned on coverage and expectations of functionalities scoped.

Upon successful completion, participants will:

  • Know where on the platform they can locate Capability Descriptions.
