Course Description

Nasdaq’s Enterprise Architecture Platform (EAP) – ‘BlueDolphin’ powered by ValueBlue - has been implemented to provide a clearer view of the end-to-end processes required for a client to license and implement developed functionalities.

Connecting what we sell to what we build & thereafter efficiently determining the pieces needed to deliver it allows us to accelerate, sell & deliver efficiently.

Be it at the beginning of a sales process and/or during the CD initiation stage, it is imperative to understand the business capabilities Calypso covers. Understanding this allows us to map the functionalities to licensable items and later for CD to determine the deliverable packages.

This course walks you through on how you can identify Calypso Business Functionalities (the main groups [business domains] supported and within them the capabilities [business processes]), understand the functionality of the capabilities, how to scope for Prospect’s/Client’s projects at Capability level (individually or in bulk), the default capabilities needed for most Front-to-Back projects and the impact updating scope status on licensable Item has on features and by consequences capabilities.

Upon successful completion, participants will have learnt:

  • how to identify Calypso Business Functionalities at a high-level (Group / Capabilities)
  • how to scope capabilities individually or in bulk
  • how scoping Impacts the CMT heatmap
  • how to identify the pre-requisite capabilities required for majority of projects
  • how selecting a licensable Item (technical or otherwise) short lists business capabilities relevant for prospects/projects
